Training

At Nickel Creek, we focus on developing, enhancing and refining the natural instincts of pointing breeds. A majority of our training activities are conducted in a natural hunting environment. Your dog will have the opportunity to train with pheasants, chuckars, and quail. Throughout the training program, birds are shot over the dogs regularly. Most importantly, our training services are offered year round!

For comprehensive training services ranging from a 1 to 3 month program, we charge a flat fee of $1000 per month, which includes full boarding at our kennel.

Beginner Our beginner/introductory programs are designed for puppies and focus on cultivated natural hunting instincts and introducing the pups to birds.

Advanced Our advanced programs focus on further developing the natural hunting instincts and include a focus on the point, whoaing, backing/honoring. Dogs are also introduced to steadiness to shot and advanced retrieving.

Master Our mastery programs focus on refining what is already an efficient and sound hunting dog. Dogs that go through mastery training are those whose owners wish for them to compete or achieve field trial and hunt test titles.
